Champions League Trophy @ The Curve

Ta-da! To all football fans out there! The champions league trophy was at The Curve last Saturday and Sunday! Have you miss getting up close and personal with the trophy? I didn't get to touch or take picture with the trophy. I was lucky enough to get a clear shot of the trophy coz there's people taking photos with the trophy constantly...

Wonder why I never get up close and personal with the trophy? Look at the pic below...

There's a blardy long queue to get to the trophy!!! Argh... and you know what? That's not all... To be able to BE in the queue...read... BE in the LONG queue, you need to be in another queue to win the pass to be in the long queue! Bah...I wouldn't want to waste my time queuing. I got my nice shot of the trophy :D

The event was organized by Heneiken. I think the trophy is going round the world? Not sure... And there's lots of signs saying that this event is open to all NON-Muslims and 18 years above. But trust me... there were plenty of Muslims there. Anyway... that's not the point...

Along on display are other stuff with player's signature on. I only posted up pictures on some of the stuff, not all. The super old Trophy was on display too and some other player's boots etc...

Clockwise from Top Left: Signed Park Ji Sung's Replica jersey, Signed Zidane France T,
Someone's boot (hahaha) and signed Barca jersey

Top: Signed Fillippo Inzaghi (AC Milan) Boots
Bottom: Signed Kaka (AC Milan) Boots

There were giving away a lot of free books about the Champions League too! There were events going on like answering some football questions and win yourself some free gifts etc... The queue to touch the trophy was long but the place was not as crowded as I thought it would be. Maybe it was a 2 days event thing, and I was there at the end of the second day. The trophy will be taken away by 10pm. :)

This super long foosball table does caught my attention. It's kinda cute isn't it? haha... But I never knew how to play foosball... I didn't know there were rules until my bf told me. Hahaha... Well... I suppose the event can be call a success considering the crowd they manage to attract? But seriously, there really wasn't much to see apart from the Champion's League trophy la... haha...

Movie: 300 by Frank Miller

I should've post this review a long time ago. But like I said, I never got much time. I am quite occupied with Heroes currently actually... hohoho...

So..I watched this movie with my bf and a couple of his male friends. This movie really kick-ass!!! Everyone and anyone should go and watch it of course, except for those 18 below kids la. The storyline is very simple, it's about 300 Spartans having a war with 1 million Persion army. Not going to tell much about it. You can read it up at Wikipedia.

I tell you... there's just so much blood in this movie! BLOOD!!! SO MUCH!!! And of course, the entire Spartan army really has this gigantic body with 8 packs!!!! You see, I am not really that interested in watching half naked men la. But seriously... the movie rawks!!! It's just so good. There's head chopped off, limbs chopped off flying everywhere ... in slow motion some more!!!

hahaha...enough about the gory bits. It's really damn good. Go watch it!!!

I'm making a difference Windows Live Messenger Campaign

I believe most of you would have noticed this logo/picture/word in front of some of friend's nickname in MSN lately. You need to have MSN Live Messenger to see it, otherwise you'll probably see *bgca *help etc in front of your friends' nickname.

I did encounter some friends who ask me what is it. Honestly... I didn't know what it is until now. haha... Previously I just put it in front of my nickname for fun coz I thought it look quite cute. Never have I thought that having that logo in front you're actually doing a good deed. :D

In case you have not already know... the bottom text is actually copied from Msn site.

Some Crazy Driver!

Now... I know that Malaysia tends to have the worse drivers around but this is probably the first time in my life I ever met the most ridiculous driver EVER!

It was Friday, I was heading towards Taman Megah to play badminton with my colleagues from home. For those who's quite familiar with Taman Tun (TTDI), there's a road the goes straight to 1 Utama from Sprint highway. On your right you'll probably see Pizza Hut and further down the road, you can see Shell and Petronas on your right.

There's 3 lanes (I think), the middle lane is to go straight or turn left which will lead you to Uptown, right lane go straight will lead u to 1 Utama. There's this left lane which you can turn into housing area. On the left lane, there's double line which means you can't cut into the middle lane just like that. Many people likes to cut in because after work, the road is quite jam.

Well, it's normal that most Malaysian's driver likes to cut lane. At that time my colleague was fetching me, then... here comes a Black color brand new looking Vios trying to force his car to the our lane. Like I said, it's double line. He's not suppose to cut in. My colleague didn't really like the idea of being cut in just like that he tries to move his car forward a little so that he will back out. In any normal situation, most driver will back out ... but NO... not this driver. He force his car through! And then... we heard some scratching sound. Meaning... my colleagues bumper got scratches and the same would go to the Vios.

Well, my colleague didn't really mind since his bumper is full of scratches already, he continue to drive on. BUT... never have we expect that this Vios driver was angry that his car got scratch demand that we stop the car at the road side and talk about it. =_=' Obviously, my colleague didn't care and continue to drive on. And guess what??? That black Vios didn't gave up and follow us at the back of the car all the way till Taman Megah traffic lights!!!

He kept flashing his car lights trying to indicate that we stop our car and negotiate. Negotiate what we dunno la. Clearly, my colleague's car is the victim and he's against the rules! We continue to ignore him until he reached the traffic lights, so happen it was red lights, he came down the car and bang on my colleague's car window! He told my colleague to wind down the window and he said "bincang bincang". My colleague didn't want to bincang, so he told him, "tak nak bincang, kita pergi repot polis" and he wind up his window.

That Vios guy continue to bang the window so hard I thought he was going to break the window. And then he tries to open my colleague's car door! Well, we were afraid something like this might happen, all the car door was locked. He continue to pull the door handle so hard that he broke it!!! And the chicken shit Vios driver probably freaked out and ran away back to his car. =_=

How stupid can the Vios driver gets??? I seriously wonder who's the victim here? What rights has he got to demand for a discussion when he's on the wrong?? Plus now he broke the car door? Well.. we've got the car plate number all written down. Can get him to jail anytime man... it's just up to my colleague. So guys...remember to lock your car door at all time, you will never know you meet someone crazy!

Food in Bangkok

Yes, it has been a long time since I've updated here... and I'm still not done with my Bangkok trip, which was more than 3 months ago... hehehe... but oh well, I shall head off to what most people would be most interested in.... FOOD...

Anyway, one of the places I love in Bangkok is MBK, which is a shopping complex which kind of reminds me of Sungai Wang Plaza. Bought 2 pairs of shoes, and would have bought more if the shops there accept credit card as we ran out of cash... *sobs*

There's a wide choices of places to eat while you're there too, and there's a food court right up on the 6th Floor, which was where we had our dinner on our second day after a long hot afternoon at the Grand Palace.

From corner left, clockwise: Pattai with prawns; some noodle dish; Vietnamese spring roll; another noodle dish

And while shopping (or more like getting lost wandering around aimlessly, asking people where's Siam Center) around Siam Square, me and ah ya stumbled into this restaurant called the Noodle House. As ah ya was hungry and I think it was waaay past lunch time, as usual we tend to lose track of time when shopping, she had noodles wrapped with omellete, but I just call it Pattaya Noodles as it reminds of Pattaya Rice.

As for me, I ordered a platter with various snacks like fried wantan, siew mai dim sum, spring rolls and potatoes covered in bread crumbs, which is actually coroquet...

For additional flavouring, you can add in sugar (yes, I'm not blind, it's sugar, not salt), dried chili flakes, preserved chilis or soya sauce. And it's all nicely provided in a cute tray!

As for drinks, I had an iced latte as I wasn't able to get a proper sleep during my trip, which was pretty sweet and if I say it's sweet, that means it's super sweet for people with normal taste buds! And ah ya had cold green tea, which was sweet too... nice...

Anyway, when I was there in Bangkok, I definitely tried their Mcdonalds there and I love their Fillet O Fish!! I LOVE IT! I LOVE IT! I LOVE IT! And their Samurai Pork Burger was absolutely delicious, it has a sweet sauce that reminds me of char siew and I'm getting hungry now just thinking of it... dang... must go have McDs breakfast tomorrow....

I got my passport!!!

I know you guys are screaming for updates!!! hahaha... Seriously I really have loads to blog about but never got around blogging it like since....after CNY? hahah... Been sick the entire CNY and after CNY also my Shingles is not fully recovered. Actually still got some scars remaining... poor me :(

Anyway... It's been decided that we're leaving for London 4th May! Hurray... And unlucky me is... my passport expires 2 January 2007. -_-''' So I had to make new one. And actually... I made it on the 4th day of CNY. I think it's a Wednesday. Yes... I know this is damn outdated. Anyway... It was DARN PACK ok!!! Look at the Queue!

'X' indicates the beginning of the queue to get number to make ur passport!

'Y' indicates end of queue. As u can see...the queue is so loong that it actually makes a round of the entire immigraion!!!

Lucky thing I got my sister there with me. I was stuck in immigration from 8.30-11.30. Thanks my mom for telling me that CNY, maybe less people. But you know what??? The amount of people making passport on that day is double the usual amount!!! It actually came out in the news!!!

http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2007/2/22/nation/16944431&sec=nation

Anyway... nowadays when you make passport you can actually get it on the same day. After 2 hours, you can collect your passport d. :D So I actually got my passport on the same day. And if you already have an existing "new" passport, as in with the chip inside, you can use the kiosk to make your passport too! It's really fast actually unfortunately... though the kiosk is suppose to speed things up, there's still a verrry looong queue to it coz some of them don't really know how to use the kiosk properly.

Hmm... that's about what I want to say now. hahahah.... I will update more la. :D
